Sickies Garage-Fort Worth, TX was the first Texas location for the Sickies brand, originally founded in North Dakota. The project involved converting a former Posado’s Mexican Cantina into a one-of-a-kind automotive-themed restaurant. This build presented several structural and design challenges, including mounting a full-size pickup truck over the exterior awning, suspending two inverted trucks above the dining area, and installing an exceptionally heavy custom beer tap system hung from the ceiling. The space also incorporated numerous wall-mounted automotive features and memorabilia, contributing to the atmosphere but requiring precise structural planning and execution.

This project showcased Ren Pro’s ability to deliver complex structural work paired with a unique, high-end finish-out. It was one of our first major builds in Fort Worth, providing us valuable insight into the local market and permitting environment. Construction Manager Steve Bush from Fargo, ND collaborated closely with our team, and much of the coordination was successfully executed through remote walkthroughs and FaceTime communication.

The completed restaurant became a strong foothold for the Sickies brand in Texas and a testament to Ren Pro’s problem-solving, craftsmanship, and ability to bring ambitious concepts to life.
